Overview

A tired forecourt that now works as hard as the team inside

The challenge: a 640 m² office courtyard of patchy turf and thirsty annuals, costing a fortune in water and replanting — and used by nobody at lunch.

Our approach: we replaced the lawn with drifts of ornamental grasses and native perennials, added cedar seating pods under multi-stem amelanchiers, and installed drip irrigation on a weather sensor. Paths were widened and relit for safe evening use.

The outcome: water use down by half, maintenance visits cut to fortnightly, and a courtyard the staff actually book for outdoor meetings.
